Succession Planning

Having a succession plan in place well ahead of time is the key to making the most of your business's value and your retirement goals. Planning and the careful structuring of business ownership can minimise many problems that might otherwise arise.

We can help with:

  • Asset protection
  • Planning and advice to prepare systems and processes
  • Reviewing structures to allow for tax effective intergenerational wealth transfers

Selling Your Business

Selling your business can be an emotional time in your life.  Whatever the reason we can step you through the process and hold your hand every step of the way.

We can help you with:

  • Registrations to cancel
    • Australian business number (ABN)
    • Goods and services tax
    • Fuel tax credits
    • Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) withholding
  • Final Tax Returns
  • CGT
  • GST

Estate Planning

Estate planning is not a fun concept to think about but it is important.  Making sure you have a plan in place so your estate is distributed according to your wishes well ahead of time can alleviate a lot of stress later.  While this is often a very sensitive subject to raise, we find that it is very important to plan well in advance, how an estate is to be divided.

We can either work with a client’s preferred lawyer or introduce a specialist lawyer from our professional network, liaising with the lawyer to provide the necessary background information such as:

  • Copies of financial statements
  • Trust deeds
  • Company constitutions
  • Death benefit nominations
  • Details of any pension income streams

SMSF

Self Managed Super Funds give you the freedom to invest your retirement money in a way that suits you.  The difference between an SMSF and other types of funds is that, generally, the members of an SMSF are also the trustees. This means the members of the SMSF run the fund for their own benefit. An SMSF can have up to four members.  People that choose to set up SMSF’s do so for the flexibility and control they gain over how their money is invested. The ability to borrow and purchase property both commercial and residential property is another perceived advantage that has led to huge growth in this area.  We work closer with your financial planner and can provide services for:

  • SMSF – Set-up, Trustees Fund Administration
  • Superannuation Tax Preparation
  • Superannuation Tax Planning
  • Preparation of Financial Reports
  • Superannuation Audits
  • Superannuation Valuations
